Check credit score?

I just want to check my credit score out of interest really, but for free.

Is there any free sites out there where I can check it? I've seen a few where you get a 30 day free trial but after that there's a monthly fee, and if you don't cancel at the right time you probably get charged.

So, does anyone know of anywhere I can check my score for free without signing up to anything?

sign up to mycreditexpert(there are others) for 1 month free, check credit score, don't get roped into the monthly payments and cancel it straight away.

there is no way to do it "without signing up to anything" or people could look up anyones details.

No free checks but it looks like you can take a trial and then cancel it straight after you get your results on most of them

How trustworthy are things like MyCreditExpert though?

Last time I used them I got a score of 999, which I'm pretty sure is impossible.

it's not impossible, bringtherain posted a while ago that he had that score too, and mine isn't far off i don't think

the score is just a sign that you know how to manage your money properly, ( ie pay all your bills on time etc etc )

+1 for creditexpert though, i used them and they have some useful bits to help sort your history and rating out

Yeah i agree with creditexpert ive used them recently, really good and very helpful on the phone if u have any problems or questions about your score.

you have to sign up . be careful with credit expert i managed to cancell but my girlfriend couldnt without having to cough up some paper

Experian's Delphi scoring (which the Credit Expert score tracks reasonably well) goes up to 1400 (I think, might be 1600). Naturally, a good score doesn't guarantee you access to credit - lenders will use their own criteria to decide whether or not to accept you (which may or may not factor in your Delphi score)
