Check my AM3 spec

Was waiting for the new Phenom to launch before ordering an upgrade from my Socket 939 system. How does the above look.

Are the samsungs still the fastest drives, except for SSD, or should I go with the WD black with double the cache? Will have two of them in RAID 0.

The two WD Green will be in RAID 1 for storage/backup.

System will be used mostly for CAD work and gaming on a 20" widescreen monitor. Currently have an 8800GT, will I see much difference?

Yeah it should be a nice step up, do you want a couple of fans to attach to the TRUE for push/pull? or you just going passive? All looks good to me

WD Blacks are faster for gaming. F1's boot up faster and move files a little faster. Depend what's more important for you.

Boot up speeds tbh. How are they faster for boot up but not gaming?

While drives like Samsung's SpinPoint F1 offer excellent sustained throughput but falter with more random workloads, the latest Caviar doesn't skip a beat when presented with a mix of random read and write requests. The Black is the fastest terabyte drive we've tested in WorldBench, and it boots quicker than the competition, too.
