check my spec please

hi all i am just about to finish off my order but would like an extra opinion and maybe some extra things to add to my basket if im missing anything, this is my first time building a system from scratch.

1. Asrock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

2. Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 "Dual Fan Edition" 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

3. Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail

4. Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit

5. Cooler Master GX 750W '80 Plus' Power Supply

Do you need 16GB of RAM? if this is a gaming PC then even 4/8Gb is enough.

hi again stulid no i dont need 16gb of ram it just works out cheaper than the ripjaws i was looking at but i chose these because they will match the rest of my ststem in colour and cheaper. and thanks for the psu advice (aswell as the case advice) i will change the psu from cm to the XFX Pro 850W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
am i missing anything else?.... i dont think a cpu cooler will go a miss but i get confused with sizes fitting over the ram etc and also like i said i dont need 16gb ram what did you have in mind.

Harddrive and optcal drive? they are both SATA?

You could always get a closed loop water cooler such as an Antec Kuhler 620 and never have to worry about the height of the RAM.

i have optical drives and hdd's from my current ddr2 system but i wouldnt mind an ssd but im not looking to spend stupid amounts on one i will only need to put an os and bf3 on it and i will add an antec kuhler 620 to my list anything else?

The fins will interfere with a air cooler, so either go low profile or closed loop/custom watercooling.

whats wrong with cooler master psu's btw... i notice no1 recommends them... i bought a 850w modular one not too long ago without asking how they are.

Some are not bad. Most are mince! Check the reviews online. They're not great.

The GX range get poor reviews, the Silent pro like yours are unrelated to these.
