Total: £1,670.86 (includes delivery: £7.99)
Hi Everyone

I looking to order the following. I currently have the a 5090 on order and also a corsair case what should be coming next few days. I was looking for your advice on the above and for the money would my basket be ok. I mainly do gaming and I have a budget of £2000 to spend. I will be using it for flight sims and call of duty etc i play in 4k at 120mhz

Your choices are alright, but you could save around ~£400 with no meaningful loss to performance. E.g. the motherboard, if you don't care about USB4 and are only using 1 M.2 drive, B850 would be ample.

You could save over £200 on the AIO alone by going with one of Thermalrights offerings and not have the buggy as hell icue forced on you. Even if you want one that shows temps Thermalright has several that show temps for the CPU, GPU as well as CPU load starting from £67 for a 360mm AIO. You don't even need a AIO for the 9800x3d. You can get the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Digital which shows CPU and GPU temps and loads for less than £32 right now.

Then there is the M2 drive. A PCI-e 5.0 drive is largely a waste of money and for your usage you are unlikely to even notice the difference outside of benchmarking. It makes more sense to save £115 and go with a decent 2tb PCI-e 4.0 drive instead which will also run much cooler. I agree with Tetras about the motherboard as well, it really is overkill if you are not bothered about USB 4 but it's a hell of a premium to pay if you do want it.
