Do I need a cooler for the CPU? or graphic card or is that fine

Everything is compatible. I would suggest a better psu though.

A 550W is plenty for a single GTX 970 and i5 4690K.

I am sry its from a competitor but the shop is close to me and what is wrong with the PSU I gave

And also is the motherboard fine or do you suggest a different one?

Nothing is wrong with it. Just superflower PSUs are of a much higher quality.

The power supply is something that always seems easy to skimp on, but in the longrun it's going to be your most important part.

The one you had was fine.

It supports SLI as per its name, so ideally you would want a 750W+ PSU for that.

For a single card YES.

But the board supports SLI (two cards) and you need a bigger PSU for that.

They work the same, but IMO windows 8.1 is a little quicker and looks better.
