hi I want to get rid of my corsair AIO cooler having problems with it and im on my third unit :mad:

so had enough.

anyway want to have a go at doing a proper loop was thinking of buying this kit any or are they other options that are better ?

How come you've added fittings? not a fan of barbs?

Yeah the xspc block you can buy adapters (actually looks like the kit has them) to fit any socket. In a couple years I'd expect a new socket design but the mounting plates are normally £5-£10 assuming you change to the new socket or even the socket sizes change.

As for the pipe you can do it with scissors or a sharp knife just go careful to get a clean cut and not cut yourself

HI it comes with these plastic fittings thought the . Metal fittings would look better and not to keen on the plastic ones . I guess budget max 170 quid to 200 I got some fans already so that will help keep the costs down if buying individual parts and not a kit

There's metal fittings in that kit as well. The plastic bits are clamps to keep the tube on the barb.

I'll have a look see if I can do better for that money for you.

oh right thanks , the clamps are easy to get off when it comes to maintenance ? thought they was like zip ties once on have to be cut off, i read compression fittings are more reliable ? maybe i can save 20 quid if the clamps are just a good

I think they're just as reliable as long as they're fitted properly.
I just think compression look a lot nicer

If you can't be bothered then yes.

BUT, if you want better value for your money, don't bother with EX240.

Try EK PE240 or more expensive ones like XSPC RX or EK XTX.

Also, where's the tubing?

I think you want to keep everything in the same brand but I think the best value coolant is Mayhem, and the best fittings are bitspower ones.

I think tubing comes with the kit.

There're tons of second hand bitspower fitting in the market.

And the quality of them are simply so good that unless they are heavily abused they will stay like new for years with a little bit of cleaning

Used Bitspower fitting vs New EKWB fitting, I dunno everyone's preference but I'll always go for bitspower, no question asked

Or you can go for Enzotech, not that well-known in the UK but their quality are on-par with Bitspower and a fraction of their price.

Ok ta for the advice, I'll look into it might be able to squeeze in a EK PE240 in the roof limited to 38 mm thickness in my case but definitely want the best parts for the coin.

back on air cooling till i get it sorted just out of interest did a 30 prime test on the h100i

achieved a 47.7c delta temp

fitted a gelid gx7 on push pull and achieved a 49.2 delta temp. now would have thought the h100i would have beaten it by a greater margin than that. :confused:

wonder what sort of temps a proper loop would do?
