Check this upload speed!

This was me a few minutes ago uploading a video to youtube.com took about a second to transfer 5mb odd then a few mins to finish the upload at 25-30k/sec after i took that screen shot!!
How the hell is that possible with a 256K upload?

The only reason I can think of is like with downloads where it starts downloading before you click Open/Save etc, which then shows it as downloading at a much faster rate for a few seconds.

There is a proper name for this which I cant remember

Yeah I remember purposely leaving my firefox downloads 10 minutes before pressing save so I could see "Downloading at 532205kb/sec 0 sec's remaining"

yeah i know what you mean about the download one, but i just clicked the upload button and that screen came straight up, no more than a few second delay.

No idea then mate, but like you said, its not possible with 256k Upload. Maybe its just the software their using?
