Hi all,

what is the most accurate piece of software to check what the rails on my PSU are giving and how well its supplying the power?

need to get a new PSU but want to see how this one is coping.

i can run orthos and superpi etc. etc. completely fine but i seem to get problems when running games and graphically intense things so i know i need a new one lol.

Cheers

Software isnt really the best tool to use to be honest their readings aren't as accurate and in some cases (speedfan for example) they are way off! I would say use a multimeter for the most accurate results.

Well tell us what model your PSU is? Is it a generic one? If it is you should get a new one anyways, crashing or not.

bought a new one today, got the Corsair 520W

i had a tagan 480W, but it only supplied 28A on the 12V and only had 1 12V rail.

ive since found out that it wasnt the PSU at all causing my pc to crash but something shorting it when i attempted to put it in my case. so its now just sitting on its box :p
