am not a fan or Gigabyte boards myself, down to past experience with the quality etc,

I would look down the barrels of an Asus.

For the love of god, don't get the XFX one. They tried to write their own BIOS and it ended up as a big fail. Overclocking just doesn't work as it should.

The MSi ones seems OK.

However, I wouldn't buy a motherboard on the bay. You usually don't get proper warranty and you have to trust the seller. Since motherboards are some of the most failure-prone pieces of PC kit, then having a solid warranty is essential.

I would suggest getting a new Gigabyte X58A-UD3R (as you mention) from a shop so you know what you are getting and have a full 3 year warranty.
