Cheesy bargain!

uhuh.....

cheese is seriously overpriced it is scandalous. saw a 500g block of pilgrims strong cheddar in the shop today, £5. a fiver for a bit of ****** cheese. imported french bree was a fraction of that for the same size.

What a stupid thing to say. A mature cheddar can take well over a year to mature so its ready for sale and is more labour intensive to make. Brie in contrast can be made easily in a couple of months.

Well I'm not fat or anything but token effort to try and keep weight down (around waist).

Buy a stronger, better cheese and then just have less of it but you'll be able to taste it more. And cut it thinly or grate. (these are all things I've been advised to do, but don't).

Ahhh - you got the "rough-cut". The bit at the end which is mounted in the grubby hands of the factory monkey as he slobbers and sweats his way through feeding the block into the cheese-logging machine. Bargain :p

I was once asked by German in-laws to try quark cheese at their breakfast table. I think it was the virtually no fat version. I was trying to be polite when i told them I'd definately eat it if there was nothing else. They love the stuff but I found it disgusting
