Chem trails and con trails, What's really going on ?

Over the last few years I've noticed the sky above where I live has started to look increasingly like a game of noughts and crosses.

Now I'm not a conspiracy nut or anything but having researched con trails from planes, They disappear around 20 minutes after the plane leaves that immediate area of sky, These chem trails are lasting hours if not the entire day.

A few kids of old school friends in my area over the last few years have started to develop breathing problems and all sorts of other ailments that goes along with the increasing amount of these chem trails in the sky even though they are generally healthy kids with good nutrition etc...

What is actually going on ?

Or... The duration of contrails depends in the conditions in the atmosphere, so if the conditions are right then it's perfectly normal for them to last several hours.

There are more of them because of the increase in air traffic.

The breathing difficulties are quite probably related to:

A) a general increase in pollution due to traffic etc
B) an increase in levels of allergies due to living more sanitised lives.

There's also the matter of confirmation bias...

In my experience, when someone says something like:

It usually means "I am a <insertWordOfYourChoiceHere>, and here are the reasons why:", e.g. I'm not racist but... women can't park", "I'm not racist but... Scottish people are alcoholics", etc..

Classic correlation/causation.

Air travel is increasing -> more contrails.
Air quality is decreasing -> more respiratory problems.

Air travel not (necessarily) -> respiratory problems.

Also anyone noticed something ? Whenever someone brings something like this up that person, Me in this instance, Is usually attacked, Called names and then made fun of, Weird that isn't it.
