The K11 1.0 next to my car is actually a louder exhaust than my car 2.0.

First I'd be ashamed as I feel my car is slow compared to most modern cars and is still quite loud but that noise from that car is stupid.

He is 20 I believe and his insurance is £2500, I just wouldn't entertain paying that at all. I have no idea how a lot of the 'kids' I see about can insure VXR corsas, A3s or any small VAG cars.
 
A lot of them can't. They either fudge it, so they get lower premiums but on a police check it would show as insured. You ever had an insurer ask for proof of age? i haven't. Or they get parents to insure it.

I haven't actually! I think if you change a lot of details under the same address they click on. I always run quotes on a different number house and name when I'm doing it to see how much a car will cost now/in the future.

I still pay £900 TPFT on that car :o

Oh dear you're not one of that lot that sit round there filling the place every so often on a Sunday night are you? 5 mins from me

Any older ( run of the mill) car tends to be slower than its modern equivalent btw, just the way it goes. Got embarrassing for anyone driving a normally aspirated mk2 mr2 againat most modern warm hatches ( straight line anyway) a long time ago

Unless it is a high performance car that can match the "noise", dont bother fella. The 30 second sound of it roaring up through 1st gear along high street just isnt right.

Haha I am not! Purely there as a mate of a mate said to head up for this 'memorial cruise' for the guy that wiped out himself and the young girl.

I don't like the whole cruise culture thing. Full of fannys.
 
Dont do it because when someone comes up to you with something far faster you'll look like an idiot.

Keep it simple don't mod it till you get something worth modding.

LOL my mate had one on his Mini - he actually found it having dropped off another car at the side of the road. It was hilariously loud. I've had an angled exit 5" exhaust on an Impreza that wasn't as loud :D

That was 1992 :)
