Good game! As you say, it was going well until you lost the rook from the fork. The side with the advantage swung back and forth quite a bit.It was all going well until I blundered a rook fork

Yes, I own a couple. Little travel sets and also a proper sized one, and have a set of Indonesian wooden carved pieces somewhere but without a board. I never use any of them though!
My daughter and I play on a tablet but she's only 5! She seems to be enjoying it and I'm sure it won't be too long before she's beating me properly.
@meths i can't believe I did it again. I got too ahead of myself and thought I was going to win but missed the killer move from you.
The game analysis engine thinks I played pretty badly.

Good game. I was worried about your rook on the f file when you took my knight, and with your queen not far behind, but thankfully I managed to keep you busy so you didn't get a chance to put me in a tricky check.

@meths well played meths. Got my first 'brilliant move' according to the post game analysis. Thought I had you early on but couldn't find a way to checkmate. You did a great job with those damn rooks.

Decimated on my last game with @rangor gubbins . I seem to either win easily or lose easily at the moment, no inbetween.
Yep, that was an unusual game. I figured you were busy / preoccupied as usually we have a close and tough battle.
Apologies if I'm slow in any games. I have a bit less time to play at the moment.

I seem to be playing chess more against bots than humans at the moment - I've beaten up to, and including, Wendy (1500 rated) with 3*s / no assistance / takebacks.
Who knows if I'll develop much further than that, as I think that would require true study of openings which I've never been bothered with!

Thanks for the reminder, think i'll play some bots. Similar to you i've managed to beat Antonio (1500) with 3 stars. Will try Wendy sometime.
Chess club, without looking it up, what do you think there is more of, atoms in the observable universe or possibly variations for games of chess? I'll post the answer tomorrow.
