Hey folks, im planning on going to chester zoo this weekend and i was wondering how long does it take to roughly do the "tour" ive never been so dont know what to expect. I only have 3 hours, is that enough?

thanks ;-)

Yeah, you'll never see everything in a full day, let alone 3 hours. It's a brilliant zoo.

You can do Blackpool in 3 hours, just about.

i did it in a day :P i think we had about 5-6 hours to wander around (coach trip) and we just about managed to see everything

Make sure you go to the bat cave, its awesome .

Just don't start feeling your way along and grab hold of a womans hair, like my sister did :D.

You'll need a full day really. If its busy then you wont see everything. Plus its a nightmare to even see anything when its busy. We have to battle through the crowds to catch a glimpse of the monkehs.

It is quite a large zoo and three hours really isn't enough time to see it all, however you can see a fair amount in that time. We are members so we tend to pop in for a few hours, see a bit of the zoo at a time. Bat cave is cool and the Jaguar enclosure is good too. Butterfly house for the kids. Oh Chester is doing Rhinomania at the moment so there are a couple of painted model rhinos at the entrance and one on the roundabout. If you are local to chester it is good for the kids as you can do a sort of "gotta catch them all" thing over the summer.

Grandparents took the kids last year and we were worried that they were not going to come back at one point. Then we realised that we were home alone and didn't care. They eventually came back pooped.

Never knew Blackpool had a zoo.
When did that happen?

1972, according to Wikipedia, and there was major reinvestment from 2003 onwards when it was brought out by a private company...

They had a pretty good collection, including a porcupine up a tree. WTF.
