Childcare costs

Today I met a client in a kids run and scream ball pit place. Can I claim this as a legitimate business expense?

I had to have the kids today so if I didn't pay for the service I wouldn't have been able to work.

Your children are neither employees nor clients so I would expect not.

I would have thought not - your children were not necessary for the meeting - now you may be have been able to claim childcare for them if you had of used it but not this.
