Children BANNED! from running in Playground

Selective sensatoinal reporting, you obviously missed the part that said:

"A spokesman for Annahilt Primary school told the News Letter that the ban was only in force while works are taking place in the playground. "

lol

you seemed to have missed

"He has further claimed that this is not the only school to ban running, through his work as a member of the education committee, he said that he has discovered a similar ban has been brought into a number of other schools across Northern Ireland."

u ****

Guessing British Bulldogs is out of the question then.

Stupid...just stupid...

This got banned a LONG time ago :p

When i was a kid like 2 decades ago it was during my stint at school when we had to stop playing it with force (i.e. you're out if your feet some off the ground by any means necessary) and move on to bulldog but instead of using force it was turned into a game of tag basically, which is annoying because i was never very agile but could powerhouse my way through a couple of other kids quite easily, when it was tag i never got through to the last ten and definitely never won a game again :(

Is this going to be the new uniform for school kids now?

I remember my primary school play ground. Old tractor tyres from the local farm, a climbing frame made from steal piping that was about 14 foot high and a scramble net with rope that rubbed your skin raw. All this with nothing to cushion your fall apart from concrete. No school got sued ever. But i guess kids and parents weren't so stupid back then.

That was banned at my school when I was a kid. A girl was running full pelt and as she approached one of the school walls, put her hand up to stop herself and smashed it straight through the window.

Well maybe the game should be banned from being played against windowed walls, unless kids can also punch through bricks and concrete.

Rugby and football are the sports with the highest risks of injury, so why arent those two sports banned from schools too?
