Build it up, try it out?

If not, spend some money on it.

    Hey Begbie
The gear i have is loud and big all from gaming rigs, the machine i would like to build ideally would be small and quiet, So i would have to buy some parts regardless of using some older gear

    Thanks

Spec would be fine for the purpose.

FYI...I have a HTPC for sale in MM...check if it takes your fancy.

I don't think you need to go building anything like the spec you have posted there. Go on hot uk deals and go to the computers section, scroll down and look for Vorke V1 Plus. I think it's ideal for what you need.

I use Amazon Fire Stick for Kodi now and Apple TV for streaming movies.

I use a fire stick for Kodi and streaming from my Synology running Plex. Works absolutely fine at 1080p! Why bother with a new build when it's not really needed?

Case is micro-atx but it could be ITX and still fit everything inside. There are itx cases on this site that include adequate power supplies.

Use a Raspberry Pi for Kodi, much better.

Don't use that PSU. For anything like HTPC you need a really quite, ideally silent PSU.
