So is proper Christianity, and toher relgions that arnt state sanctioned, just because they deem it illegal doesnt justify the Chiniese communists actions.

And that excuses horiffic torture methods being developed for use on them, its not just Falun Gong that persecuted many other religions that arnt state sanctioned do, ie Christians.

No but it certainly explains why the west will never do anything about it...

I know plenty of chinese christians...none of them have ever been tortured by the way.

I had no problem accessing google korea, my gmail account several times a day and the bbc (i think) when i was in china:dunno:

Were you at a ghetto net cafe or something?

Nope, at my girlfriend's school most of the time, worked intermittently. Same at my (clean and shiny) hostel in Shanghai, trying every 5 minutes or so would get it going in the end.

Was just an inconvenience really, especially when trying to book my flight home and not being able to get emails from the carrier. Nevermind, I survived :)

And I know of some who have! It depends on the Christian, if you go to the state sanctioned churchs which control what the speakers are allowed to talk about and where the state has removed passages from the Bible, then no they wont get any hassle at all.

China is a changing country. A lot of the stuff we hear by the Western press is biased and often portrays a bad insight into China and what the West wants to believe.

Why would the West actually interfere with China's issues? What? Nuke the country and its millions? If anything, the West probably feels threatened by China and its growing economy and should democracy come into play - China would no doubt be a threat to the Europe and the west. Currently, it seems to be providing a good balance on our globe.

Yes there is a lot of censorship but in no way is the state of the country as bad as what we know as North Korea and generalising China as a bunch of "backward" commies is just outdated.

Crazy cult!? That's what the communist party want its people to think, to justify the imprisonment and body harvesting!
