Chinese GP 2009 - Race 3/17

No lve TV coverage at all... christ, ALMS really is dying.... isnt the P1 class made up of Acura and a couple of private Acuras, and there isnt anyone in the GT1 class?!?

Neither, Motors TV have the live rights to ALMS, but as this race is being aired on Network TV in the US there is no live tv coverage, only Radio Le Mans audio coverage and live timing.

It's no different to the Last few years, they have always had a couple races shown delayed on Network TV channels like ABC and NBC, most are still shown live on Speed though.

In P1 is the 2 factory Acura's and 2 Privateer Lola's, In P2 is 1 Privateer Acura and 2 Factory Mazda Lola's, GT1 Corvette's make there final appearance in the ALMS in this race, GT2 has a as ever very strong and competitive field.

The coverage of the GT2 catagory annoys me, As you say it always has a strong field, be it often dominated with Porkers, but it offers very close racing and lots of action, but the TV networks hardly bother to follow them and see them as just thinkgs in the way of the overall race leaders.

The BMW M3 GT2 is simply awesome!

Anyway, early start 2moro, sleep is needed I feel.

I think Speed pickup again at Utah, and Motors TV will show all races covered by Speed live over here.

5 hours sleep just isn't enough for me, might set it for 7.40 in time to watch Brundle annoy everyone in his way :D

And btw - anyone else know what the weather's going to be like? I just had a quick look on 3 different sites and it says wet... very wet.

I believe it was said that it is gonna be mid 20's throughout the day with possible rain during the end, so possibly not during the race itself.

It looked pretty warm today, not a lot mentioned from what I watched of qualifying. We'll have to see, but if it does rain, we don't want it as heavy as last time, ta! :)

I'm mourning my foot after I killed it at work. 1 ton bit of steal fell over on it, totally missing the steal toe caps :(. Luckily didn't break it, just graze and bruised and maybe swelling latter.
 
What a great start to the race - cant believe Alonso so far ahead...

Yes Im joking - just feel like a tool for waking up just now when the race doesnt start until 7am. Knowing my luck if I tried to grab another hour of sleep Ill end up missing the race due to poetic irony...

race doesnt start for an hour and 12 minutes, coverage starts in 12.. or should that be 'in depth bbc waffling about the diffuser situation, without actually explaining anything' (not that I have anything against the bbc, just that they seem to gloss over technical stuff)

Goes off to check on omlette of doom
 
Soz I meant the coverage - oh well seems I stayed up (will regret lack of sleep later) - gonna stay in bed but running off to get supplies!!!
