No not those dodgy pharmaceutical e-mails that fill up my inbox....

I have been looking at cheap tablets from the far east and I was wondering if anyone out there owns one or has experience of using one?

I've read reviews which seem to say that they're pretty good but a little rough around the edges. I've seen such names as Onda, Pipo and Cube. I'm interested in Android based devices, your thoughts would be appreciated

I have a onda v975w and its great. Its Fast with a retina screen and feels great with alluminum.

Wow that is such good value.
Just hope the cherry trail will be as good as Intel say and that the Chinese stick it in such a tablet. I would miss the kickstand of the surface. But at that price what a bargain.

Wow the v975w seems good, it appears to have the exact same panel from LG as the iPad. Guess battery life sucks?

I have the Xiaomi Mi Pad.
It's an excellent tablet, made all the better with Nova launcher. Battery life is very good. The only thing that annoys me is the OTA updates which download automatically.
The Mi Pad arrived rooted and Google services installed.
Fantastic for comic and book reading. Screen is gorgeous and the pad is lagless.
There's no HDMI output, but I didn't buy it for that.
However XBMC installs and runs without a problem.
Massive upgrade from my Motorola Xoom Pad.
With the Xiaomi Mi Pad and Vivo Xshot, I have a great combination of hardware. The Chinese have nailed the hardware, just some niggles with software that can be overcome.
I'm never going to buy the run of the mill android device ever again. There's more bang for your buck if you are prepared to go outside the normal choices.
Vivo Xshot has the best camera on any android phone. Just check out the reviews.
