That is a term I learned today. I'm an APer but I've avoided Poker, but after reading the technique I really wish I as an APer when Poker bonuses were good, I'd be all over the chip dumping technique.

multiple players on same table deliberately playing to get all their chips to one person

Whats the advantage in doing this? Surely the idea is to get as many chips for yourself?

If you give them away another person wins while you end up skint...

several reasons

if you are at the final table of a large tournament the prize structure will be steep, 1st maybe 10x what 9th pays, the players then split the money

so if you and a mate are at the table with few chips one passes to the other so instead of getting 9th and 8th you have a shot at the big prizes ( plus the9th as well )

it is also used for money laundering, dodgy credit card scams and other reasons
