Also congratulations for noticing that forced induction engines (Only way you are getting 140lb/ft from a 1 litre) develop more torque per litre than normally aspirated ones.
it has no bearing on anything though - it's still more output per litre than your car.. and seeing as you were having a dig at what i choose to drive, it's all game eh.

140ftlb from the 1108cc Fiat engine.. you're talking about £1200 ish.
[TW]Fox said:The difference is that you are making up pointless crap to make yourself feel better - i mean as if torque per litre actually matters - whereas I have a genuine opinion that spending a small fortune getting 99bhp out of a small Fiat is pointless. An opinion shared by others.
I mean you must appreciate there are other cars out there which are far more worthwhile to modify? I mean so, you are a Fiat fan. Fiat's best car in years - the Coupe Turbo. Imagine what you'd have on your hands now if you'd have expended the same amount of effort on one of those as you did your Cinq? You'd have something that'd leave me behind so quickly I wouldnt even have been able to see which way you went for example.
[TW]Fox said:Thats a lot of money really, isn't it? To give you an example, thats still less torque than you'd find in a Fiat Punto diesel, or a 306 DTurbo 3 door..
[TW]Fox said:This is where I may end up looking silly - how much have the modifications actually cost you to do? I am guessing near 4 figures. Obviously if you've done all this in your back garden for a couple of hundred quid tops it's completely different, fair play to you, and my comments were overly harsh.
But if you've spent silly money, point still stands.
GeX said:all the work done on my car, has been done by me - hence the car being off the road for the past 5 months on axle stands in my garage.
[TW]Fox said:Well kudos for that - at least you are not one of these people who claims to really enjoy modifying their car, and its well worth it, its a learning curve blah blah whose idea of a performance mod involves taking it to the local tuner and handing over a cheque.
But how much were the bits?
GeX said:thanks.
i don't know how much it has all cost. biggest expenditure would be the ECU, the MS itself was circa £300 with the LC1 wieghing in around £120. These will live on long after this car is laying upside down at the side of a track in the gravel though.
