Chipset fan replacement?

Msi k8n neo platinum chipset cooling fan has failed - can it be replaced, if so how do you get it off and what do you reccommend? Failing that it is still under warranty.

Easy to remove yes, There are clips that need to be pushed together on the back of the board. "Yes means removing it" :mad:

Contact MSI and see if they will send a replacement, Otherwise id replace it with a Passive HS. Also Might aswell add some Artic Silver 5 while its off

Many thanks for quick reply - I had guessed the board had to come out but was hoping for an alternative- Oh well

The Zalmon Chipset cooler is good. Its cheap and has good cooling, plus ofcourse, its silent

just make sure you have airflow in your case.
