chipset fan

Check if the zalman ZM47bj will be ok with your mobo (most probably is). Its the tall blue zalman chipset cooler - its silent and does a pretty good job if you have half decent case airflow.

id get one of the akasa blue led ones, they spin at 5000rpm but are not niosy

Just looking at those since I'm considering changing Nothbridge coolers, and do they just stick on with adhesive thermal compound? Doesn't seem very safe

Anyone used them?

I just unplugged mine :D (Epox 9npaj-sli)

The nforce 4 sli chipset is rated to 90c, mine has been 41c max without the fan.

Hmm my nf4 sli had a bsod when it got somewhere around 50 i think, but i can't be sure of the accuracy of the temperature measurement. It would be logical that they could cope with similar temperature extemes as gpus.

If you are replacing your chipset cooler check it won't interfere with the graphics card. On the A8n sli deluxe its almost impossible to get a decent replacement chipset cooler as there is only 40x40x10mm of space as its under the graphics card.

I used a Zalman ZM47jb on my DFI nF4 Ultra-D mobo for a while and it was great - it cooled the chipset better than the standard DFI chipset cooler and was of course silent.
