Good people of OcUK, I am on the hunt for some chocolate concrete. I have the recipe to make it myself but unfortunately the time to do this eludes me at every corner.

I work in Picadilly Circus and would be eternally grateful if anyone knows of a place nearby me that sells this amazingly delicious cake/biscuit dessert.

Can anyone help????

:)

1 part cement, 2 parts cocoa powder and 4 parts aggregate.

Mix whilst gradually adding water until you have the right consistancy (smooth but not sloppy).

Bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.

Okay so chocolate concrete was also called chocolate crunch and seems to be based on the real name, Chocolate Tiffin.

Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado sell chocolate Gü Chocolate Tiffin Bites for around £3.25 - £3.50

keywords are Chocolate Tiffin – might this be what you’re searching for?

Tiffin is different. Tiffin isn't baked, its just an assortment of biscuits nuts and dried fruits in melted chocolate then left to cool and harden.

The only place I know that sells blocks of this cake is a cafe called Tuckers in Birmingham city centre. Obviously thats quite far from Piccadilly Circus :(

I think you might be right mate. Im a brummie whos been in London since 2008. Everytime I've asked about chocolate conrete around here I get laughed at.... :(

This was awesome. So hard you had to chisel it with your spoon, yet oddly wasn't hard to chew :D It was served with mint sauce/custard at our primary school :)

Also in the running was cornflake tart!
