Hi all,

Each year I buy some easter eggs, split them and fill with chocolate rice krispies. Then reseal and repackage.

However, I want to try something new.

I want to melt the chocolate and add Baileys to it. I've tried in the past but the result is a really tough paste. Not sure what I am doing wrong, maybe too much baileys to choc?

Also, I have considered making a rice krispies square egg, chocolate rice krispies and marshmellows, but no idea where to start with that one!

Anyone any suggestions?

You could do a truffle type recipe.

75ml Baileys (or other similar liqueur)
100ml Double Cream
175g bar of dark chocolate (high cocao)

Heat up the liqueur and the double cream until just about to boil and pour over broken up chocolate. Stir it all together then put it in the fridge.

When it's set you can make it into shapes such as rolling into balls. Then they can be coated in more chocolate or sprinkled with icing sugar or cocao powder.

I'll try the baileys thing, just need to figure out how they make the marshmellow squares :D

J-FRO, making simple rice krispie cakes is really simple :D It's just a case of waiting for the choc krispies to cool slightly before putting them in the egg casing, then putting them in the fridge to cool it quickly. Then use some melted chocolate to seal the 2 halves together again :)

Well, I hope you have more luck than me. This is what happened the last time I tried.
