Its the SATA controller.

Unless there is a board that has an alternative sata controller along side the native Intel ones.

P.S look at post#36, thats awesome.

Well i mean it was a £40 drive on offer like 3 year ago on ocuk so its not the end of the world lets just get a new one and ill stick this in a machine here on an old board.

Yes. Very nice, But do remember that for a 2nd card (should the situation arise) you need a bigger PSU.

That is the PSU I said.

It will do two cards.

Also remember that with the tall RAM you will more than likely need a all-in-one water cooler, I can think of a few Air coolers that will fit too.

With that card you have to slide the middle HDD cage out (but you still have the lower cage) but at least it fits, which is the important part:D

No it works, you still have 3 internal bays, the SSD will fit in one of these 3.5" drive bays as they also accept 2.5" drives

Ok cool im happy here. Do i need a holder type thing for SSD My current one just sits in the case on a random bit of metal lol

The actual HDD caddies (plastic things that slide in and out of the HDD bay) have support for 3.5" and 2.5" drives.
