EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Black GAMING £460

I prefer a card to be quieter over a minimal performance gain, currently have gtx1060 6gb
running with i5 6600K (upgrade next year) 16gb ram and 650psu and 1440p

Budget for card was to be £450, so should i stretch for the 2070, as i said i want to be sure it would be reasonably quiet, i know the MSI cards are quiet so i'm tempted from experience to go for it but what do you think or even is there a good 1080 that's cheap and quiet ?

Had this cooler on my 1080Ti and very quiet. Having used multiple cards from many vendors, I would certainly go MSI again.

Evga RTX270 black no doubt about it, especially if you can get it for that price.

Faster than the other listed and 2and half years newer technology.

Another vote for the MSI gaming. I also have the MSI 1080 ti with a similar cooler and it's very efficient and among the quietest that I've ever owned in 20+ years of building gaming PC's.

PS. Not aware that they did an Xtreme version of this card though?

2070 and overclock it. It will probably pull away hard from the 1080 let alone 1070 and you'd end up regretting not just going for it. Overclocks to 2080 apparently.

I would be going Vega56 at $350 and save some change for next year or spend a little extra and get the 2070.

How much better would a 2070 vs a new/used 1070ti?
I know its got new tech but does help in all games now?
