Choosing a RX 9060 XT 16GB

Been working away from home, only just got back, the Sapphire Pure looks very pretty, almost a shame that it will be locked away in a windowless case. But very high quality feel in the hand.

Haven’t installed it yet, been installing afterburner and rivatuner to benchmark my old card first. Been trying it on Horizon Forbidden West, unfortunately, not at a stage in the game where there is much happening, so I get between 60 and 30 FPS depending on graphics settings.

The GPU is running at 100% at all settings but the CPU is only running at 30%.

As I say, not in a very challenging part of the game but that bodes well as there seems to be plenty of CPU headroom.

Well one really annoying thing for me (others might prefer it) about the Sapphire Pure is that it has 2x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort, which I think is the opposite way round to the norm.

My two monitors do not have HDMI so I'm going to have to buy an adaptor or special cable.

On the plus side the Pure has gone up to £360 now so I got it at a good price £330.

UPDATE

Actually, impossible to buy an adapter because they are the wrong way round to what I would prefer.

The reason I am so annoyed is that I was expecting a plug and play, but now I have to buy extra stuff, wait for it, and then unpick all my cable looms. Really wishing I'd bought the XFX now.

Still really angry, currently looking at postage prices to send it back. Will see if I have calmed down by tomorrow.
