Will be installing my SSD's in RAID 0 tonight, and im just wondering which RAID controller I should use.

I have the choice of the standard on board Intel ICH10R, or a VIA VT6421A PCI card.

The only reason I am not sure which will give better performance is the fact that the PCI card cost like £7, as opposed to the ones on OcUK which start at around £40.

If anyone can clear this up that would be great! :)

Always use the chipset controller if available, it's wired straight into the frontside bus so isn't bottlenecked at all. The PCI card has to share a 133MB/s bus and hence will bottleneck a pair of decent drives (you should be able to get 160MB/s from a pair of modern SATA disks in RAID0).
