Typical its that time of year again, I have a major problem with my car, the car battery is completly flat and i have to go away for christmas, i charged the battery for 12 hours 3 days ago and reconected everything and it started first time so i thought great no problems but then i came to drive it 2 days later and it was as flat as a pancake..

Do i stick the car back on charge to travel late tommorrow evening or do i stick it on charge tommorrow morning after work and hope its charged enough.

Then theres the second problem, i dont know how much fuel is in the car and petrol stations will not let you fill the car up when it is going so what should i do

Please help me

My christmas depends on it

Thanks D Breeze :(

There comes a time when you have to condeed you cannot afford to run a car and should thus either downsize the car to release funds to run a cheaper car, or give up motoring.

Not being able to afford 25 quid for a battery to drive your car safely is one of these times.

Or maybe he's spent up due to it being 2 days before Christmas and is waiting for pay day.

At least someone understands the pressure, i have indeed spent all my money on christmas presents and i get paid next week on friday but need to travel tommorrow :o

Well the battery problem isnt too much of a problem, there is always someone you can ask for a jump start / push if you need it.

If you cant afford petrol though, i fail to see how your going to travel

petrol is not the problem, i can afford petrol but i am worried if i charge the battery again and start my journey that if i stop and try and fill the car that the battery will not start it again.

I Love christmas :D

I'm confused. First you cant afford a 25 quid battery but you can afford a 40 quid tank of fuel. Then in another thread you post that you don't drive

please lets not take this into an off topic rant like 99% of threads in motors nowadays. lets just try and help him with his problem huh guys? jesus this forum sometimes!
