Yea, not an art. But you'd be surprised at how many people struggle. There isn't pre mashed mash potato in supermarkets for show!

This year my wife if cooking for her side of the family, she is thinking of getting a four Breast Roulade (Turkey, Duck, Goose and Phesant) which is then wrapped in bacon, similar to a Gudukken or Tudukken but rolled instead of stuffed.

Has anyone had any experience of one of these? Seems quite expensive but it is a LOT of meat.

Well decided on my menu now.

Starter
chicken and pork terrine
walnut flat bread
Persian fig chutney
bread and butter pickles
Golden shallots

Main
Pork belly, potato dauphinois, pigs in blankets, Yorkshires, stuffing, veg of some sort, depends what I get from farm.

Dessert
Crockenbouche

Cheese board.

Terrine and heavy carb start. You'll be full as hell after that at the end of the meal

thats the idea at christmas pure gluttany. just be thanfull i dont want to spend extra money on a fish course.
