Christmas Eves Eve, eve's eve or eves' eve?

So all you guys aying it Christmas Eve's eve, should that not then mean Christmas eve itself should actually be Christmas's Eve ?

Either way the whole thing is completely retarded. Is the OP 8 yrs old?

smh ok then :) this irish coffee is prob not helping me concentrate on my grammar or reading skills right now :)

I think there isn't a right answer because the phrase isn't used enough for there to be enough of a precedent and there aren't any clear rules covering it.

It could be argued that it should classed as possessive and thus use an apostrophe, with the closest precedent being "New Year's Eve".
Or not, with the closest precedent being "Christmas Eve".

Or that might just be convenience of speaking. "Christmas's Eve" is clunky so it would probably have been dropped even if it is technically correct.

Or it could be argued that it doesn't matter as it isn't really a thing anyway. It's the 23rd of December.

"The evening of the day before the day before Christmas".
