Flights from Heathrow to NY
1 week stay - 1 room for 2 adults and 2 kids
No breakfast or dinner, room only
All in, looking around £16,000 for the week lol. I guess it's no issue for LeeUKbut for the rest of us, it's fun pricing stuff that we'll never be able to afford.
I’d rather stay at home and I certainly wouldn’t be taking the kids

Bemused by the figure of £16k.
The flights from Heathrow, 22-29 December, are around £650pp return (£2600) with multiple airlines. The first hotel I clicked on was the 8.8 rated Hyatt on Wall Street at £2400, 7 nights for 2 adults and 2 kids. There are a number of options across Manhattan in the £2-3k range.

My favorite time to visit NYC is in Jan/Feb when it's MUCH, MUCH cheaper.
As someone who lived in NYC for several years, my LEAST FAVORITE time to be in the city was during Christmas.
If you must do it, prepare for lines lines lines everywhere, book restaurant reservations like NOW, and be prepared to be financially violated.
