I just wanted to check as too many people seem to think it originated with Mr Buckley, his is a pretty good cover though and I don't even like the song much to begin with.

I agree with you about Simon Cowell but I solve the problem by simply not listening to the charts as much as possible. :)
 
I think it will be Burke. I wish it would be Buckley.

Edit: Not sure if anyone's mentioned yet. Buckley @ No. 3 in the midweek chart. Cohen @ No. 34.

burke and leonas covers are crap, kings of leon are clearly the best band in the world but tbh id rather they werent no.1 in the charts, as that generally means its crap. so jeff buckley for no.1
 
The sheer number of singles Alexandra is shifting i can't see anyone stopping her, far too much hype with the X Factor still so i think she will easy be No1 for xmas, she broke the previous record held by leona for downloads.
 
it'll b x factor winner, that's the main reason why the winner is anounced so late in the year so that their garenteed xmas number1 and fastest selling single of the year, takes away all of the fun that it used to be frm when i was younger
