My son has offered to get me a new graphics card for chrimbo. Looking at my set up below, what do the collective think would be a worthwhile upgrade? I play sniper elite, train sim, MS flight sim and cities skylines, if that is any help. I obviously don't want him to spend an arm and a leg, so a small improvement would absolutely fine. Thanks.

Difficult without a price range. If he knows computers he'll have a realistic expectation it's going to cost £300+ but if he doesn't he might only be expecting to spend say £100.

I see you're on AMD currently I would recommend the 9600XT 16gb

16gb is important as below that your are just going to run into problems with some games you cannot get around

RX 590 is outdated and has no driver support, so even a 1660ti would be an upgrade really. While i have and most likely never will experience anything like a 5090, the games you play, it will be way overkill especially how much they cost.

While i havent got those games installed on my pc yet, ive just picked up an 8gb 5050 which should do well in those games and be a big upgrade also. Didnt cost that much(under 250). Mine is the Low profile version due to case limitations, but a full size version should be had cheap too. an RX 7600 would probably be better if you can find one cheap enough, Not sure how much a 5060 is going for.
