Tradition suggests that it is extremely unlucky to bring evergreens into the house before christmas eve, but I would think that most sensible people would wait until mid december.

I'm thinking next weekend (3/4 Dec) is still too early.

Might do it midweek of the week after, or that weekend (10/11th).

Work breaks up on 16th so Christmas seems to be on its way very quickly this year!

Christmas was invented in America and I believe in America it starts the day after thanksgiving so technically it has now started.
