Chrome being odd...

I am having a really fraustrating time...

I am running Win7, and use Chrome as my primary browser (or did). The problem I am having is :

When I run Speedtest.net through Chrome it works fine until its time to check upload speed, then the connection dies. All network traffic stops and the only way to get it going again that I have found is to have Win7 Diagnose etc, and it resets the LAN car (Atheros built in).

The odd thing is - this doesn't happen with any other browser....

Now obviously the short term solution is to not use Chrome, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced anything similar, as I really like Chrome and would like to use it, but don't trust it at the moment.

Lol when you don't use I.E. you'll find that each browser has a few websites that don't function properly with it. Keep Chrome if you like it, just run the SpeedTest in IE if you need it.

Running Chrome here and Speedtest.net works just fine, all tests complete successfully.

Sorry, doesn't help with your issue but doesn't seem to be a general problem.

Give Iron a go, I prefer it to Chrome myself. There's a portable version also, so you can try it out without having to install it.

From these screen shot here, it looks like another version of Chrome.

Chrome on my netbook runs it fine on XP, very wierd. Have gone back to FF on the main W7 PC as an easy fix :-)

Hmm.... Chrome has a good reputation. I use it, it works perfectly.

speaking of speedtest being odd in chrome. this is on a 20mb sky package.lol.
