Chrome gone nuts!

So I started my PC this moring, opened Chrome and the 15 odd tabe I'd had open reopen and then it very quickjly becomes unresponsive. Check task mamager and its eating ram at a prolific rate. If I just leave it it climbs past 20gb and beyond. Cleared cache, rebooted, even uninstalled and reinstalled and it just does the same thing every time. I've not installed anything in the last few days or downloaded anything. Have run Avast and its found nothing. Never run into this problem with Chrome before. Ideas?

Have a look at Chrome task manager to see whats doing it. (Menu, more tools, task manager)

Thanks dude. Problem solves, it was a ETH GAS price extension. Uninstalled and problem solved

It had been installed for a few months and I'd never noticed any issues with it or Chrome before this morning. Now its gone memory usage is back to 1.5gb with 12 tabs open.
