I've had an issue with searching through the Google engine using Chrome for a while now and I'm not really sure what else I can try to fix it!
If I search (it can be via the omnibox or on Google.co.uk itself), my first request will work fine. However, once the first search has run any further attempts will cause a "This webpage is not available" error, with an Error code: ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED
The only way I can get search to work again is either by:
I'm fairly certain that it's a problem with secure connections (based on my workaround), however I don't have any issues with other secure sites.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm getting bored of re-starting my browser!

- This error has occured on numerous versions of Chrome
- I have tried deleting all cache/cookie/history data
- I've completed fresh installs of Chrome a number of times
- Several DNS servers have been tried (both router and windows settings)
The only way I can get search to work again is either by:
- Restarting chrome
- Manually changing https:// to http://
