Chrome not staying default browser

As above really, I can't seem to get Chrome to stick as default browser. It will work for as long as the computer is on, but as soon as I reboot it just forgets it.

Tried a good old uninstall and reinstall, same problem. On Windows 10.

Anyone have ideas here?

You are setting via windows and not within Chrome? Click Start>Settings>Apps>Default Apps>Web Browser

I use Firefox and it sticks for me.

Yep, it's getting set from Windows. Setting through Chrome just opens Windows settings anyway.

Never actually tried a different browser to see if it's Chrome or Windows, give that a go tonight.

Either try setting a different browser as default and then set chrome as default.

Make sure no one else is using the computer and using and setting edge as default.
