Hi guys, today i bought an unloved Honda VT Shadow 125cc motorbike.

Now, being unloved the chromes a little rusty, with some thick rust on the exhaust. The rust hasn't gotten through the metal and it will be easy enough to remove.

Now, how can i protect large areas from future oxidation?

Shall i just spray it silver? It wont be noticeable.

A second question for people who know about this model of bike:

It came with a luggage rack under the rear seat and it needs to be removed... Anybody know how this is done?

Thank You.

ACF-50 is a protector, works awesome. I give my metalwork a going over every few months, or more often in winter, which is probably overkill lol. Keeps the metal in good condition though.

500ml compressed can IIRC, can't quite remember, mine's back in the UK with my bike lol. But a little goes a long way if applied correctly. Basically spray some on, then spread and work into the surface with a cloth. Just make sure you keep it off your brakes!
