Hi,

I have recently noticed a problem when watching videos eg youtube in Chrome.
If I move my mouse cursor, whether the video is windowed or fullscreen it will pause for the duration of my mouse movement. This is only whilst my mouse cursor is over the chrome webpage.
If I have chrome on one side of the screen. Play a YouTube video and move my cursor on the desktop side. The video plays fine.
I have tested with 2 other browser and not had this problem.
I reinstalled chrome and still happens.

Ideas?

Just noticed the problem exists in spotify too. Tried reinstalling video drivers too.

I get the same.. also effects games in that it halves my fps in bf1 etc... work fine for the first few days of the update.

Doesn't happen to me in edge (Have you tried that?) do you also find when dragging chrome windows its really jerky? so far only thin i have found that gets rid (or hope it does will find out later) is a full re install of windows.

Yes creators update.I have noticed some lag in games too. So guessing I am having the same problem as you.
Yes dragging chrome windows are jerky. Edge is fine, same as you. The video/flash in spotify and dragging sliders up and down lag too.
I only noticed this the last few days.
I have however found something. When I reduce my mouses polling rate to 125 from 1000 the problem is greatly reduced.

OK I found the culprit for my problems.
I deleted EasyTuneEngineService. All problems with chrome, gifs, etc are gone. I noticed that it had been updated about 1 week ago, about the time i first had these problems.
Deleted problem gone, reinstalled problem back again.
Now with this uninstalled i cannot use the SIV fan control software and the bios doesnt give me the parameters that i want.

funny we have the same mobo... just reinstalled windows and have not installed any of the software and guess what.. all stutter gone..

although adding game mode to games definatley adds a jerkyness with G-sync.. turn it off and jerkyness has gone

i can still control fans from the bios but it seems to kick in much earlier than using SIV

Motherboard utilities are flakey at best in my experience. I do without them.

Unfortunately, when i got the motherboard i found that the bios didnt give me the fan control i needed on cpu. The options very limited and so the fan was much louder than i needed. Turned out Gigabyte had made a program called SIV that offered the extra options i needed.
Now that it is broken for me, i have had to download the latest bios that has been updated to include the fan control i need. However, although it fixed my fan problem, i t has also added problems. My PC now takes an extra 5-10seconds to initialise the keyboard at login. I can replicate this change by enabling/disabling thunderbolt 3 support in the new bios. Off = normal boot time on bios F8. But this turns the port off, which i use for my rift headset. SO it needs to be left on.
