Chuck

Nope, the pair sat next to me are very much yellow/blue. It uses colorcode 3d, which is only yellow/blue.

Oh! You were serious ;) Sorry!

DOH! I have a set of the red/blue glasses... So now you need some of these colorcode ones to see the episode of Chuck? Hmmm... Can't imagine how that will go down on Sky where most people won't own them!? When can you even get them from?

My bad for ambiguous smiley :p

I've got a pair from some random tv guide my parents can't break out of the habit of buying. Should be pretty obvious which one it is, as it's the only one with a pair of glasses stuck on the front.

But they are blue and yellow? I've never seen any 3D glasses like that ever! Normally they are red/blue or red/green?

Noooooowwwwww do you believe me :D

(And yes that is yellow, not red!)

It's probably not worth the hassle, I just redownloaded the ep and tried watching it, and at least on my 24" monitor in 720p it was eye destroying. Yes, the 3d effect was there but there was also extreeeeme discomfort. I wouldn't even try watching with the glasses on anything less than a 32-40" from a fair distance.

They designed the episode to work both with and without glasses, so watching without isn't as bad as you'd expect, but the 3d effect when watching with isn't especially profound because of this. It's clearly there, but it's not that impressive.

To Dano:-

It was a rhetorical question... OK they're on the front cover of one magazine, but I've never seen blue/yellow 3D glasses anywhere else. Most people have red/blue...

Anyhoo...

You can order them from Virgin, can you not?

The 3D thing only really comes into play a couple of times anyway. There's a bit where a knife is thrown right at the camera which is clearly meant to make your un your hands ver your face to make sure, and a couple of other bits, but you wont be missing out on too much without the glasses :)

Ha! Chuck vs Tom Sawyer :D I'm not a great fan of Apple and their dominance, but this did make me laugh:

Chuck “Morgan, hey, uh, buddy do we carry any rush cds in the store?”
Morgan “No need I got’em all on my Zune”
Chuck “You have a Zune?”
Morgan “Are you kidding me, no, no, I’ll grab my iPod”

And whats with the Rush/Arcade references in the media? While I'll never complain about the awesome Tom Sawyer, it reminds me of that "Anthology of Interest" episode of Futurama:

Fry: All right. It's Saturday night. I've got no date, a two liter bottle of Shasta, and my all Rush mix tape. Let's rock.

I can't believe they aired a 3D episode on the normal schedule.

At least have it as a special back-back, completely killed the viewing for me :(

On a plus side.. Morgan is the best character. The Buy More nerds a close second.

Episode check... Not sure if I missed some episodes from series 1...

The last episode I saw from episode 1 was where Chuck met a brunette in his store and the episode ended with him going out with her for a meal...

Was that the last episode of series 1?

i know that episode, wasnt the last episode, it was round about the 8th episode according to wikipedia

other than that, John Casey is a brilliant character

**possible minor spoilers**

Well I just watched the final two episodes.

Its almost as if they were planning to end the show at this series, as it all starts to wind up, then they throw a curve ball right at the last. The last few episodes are fantastic, by far the best of both series, however I do wonder how they'll deal with Season3 without repeating old stuff. They've pretty much ended the Chuck/BuyMore story, the Chuck/Sarah story, the Chuck/Morgan story, Ellie/Awesome marraige is done, etc etc.

My only real complaint about S2 is how Chuck is almost completely absent from the Buy More. I know he's meant to be "Out on an Install" but he pretty much turns up to work for 30 seconds, then dissapears. There's not enough interaction between the two, its almost like its the "Jeffster/Morgan/BuyMore Show" or the "Chuck/Sarah/Casey" show.

Fingers crossed for Season 3...got a while to wait though :(

I have seen both seasons made so far and although I have enjoyed it, I can't really see it having enough in it for a fourth season. Hopefully they'll finish it off nicely in season 3.
