As the title really, just had a go with a mate (theo on the forums) and we had a go at making two different types of cider, cider from pressed apples, (from my trees) and cider made from apple juice, after a few mishaps everything seems to be going nicely but only time will tell, basically wondering if anyone else has done much brewing mainly cider but also wine mead beer etc and if anyone had any tips for making nice cider, not expecting much from our first batch :p, would post a picture but its currently looks like water saturated with poo so not very exciting!

I love the apples. Good luck!

If you need a tester of any sorts then you know what I'm saying here :o

hehe its probably going to be manky but We have bought two more demijohns as well so we will have 18 litres on the go at a time :p cheap strong tasty homemade booze is win, well if it doesnt taste like gravel

In our youth my mate jack brewed his own cider with apple juice, first attempt blew up, second attempt tasted like vinegar and caught fire, third attempt was drinkable but hospitalised half a dozen mates.
4th attempt he distilled and it tasted horrible but my god did it get your drunk, we named it desert island swish and drank a fair amount.
Then he brewed some with proper apples after a few batches, tasted beautiful.

Proper apples is the only way to do it.
