Cider...how did I miss it?

It's all about the pear ciders, St helier's is one of favourites. The new Magners pear is pretty nice but by house mate swears by the Brothers Festival Edition pear cider.

There's so many out there, just try a different one every time till you find one you love.

I had some of that the other day (and bearing in mind I don't like strong tasting cider) it tasted so watered down, not nice at all. Kopperburg on the other hand is the nicest, followed by brothers lemon/elderberry, then magners.

I don't usually drink at all but recently I have taken to having the occasional pear cider during the day, problem is I haven't drunk for such a long time I get a bit tipsy on one (the south west don't seem to do non alcoholic cider:confused:)...

Did you go to the cider festival a few years back? :D

Om nom nom.

my favourite is Kopparberg atm, Pear Cider *** - yes it's sweet but I like sweet things! I find Bulmers tastes a bit watered down to me tbh. St Helier's is OK but not a scratch on Kopparberg. A mate said to me once that the Kopparberg pear ciders taste a lot like those sugary pear drops you used to be able to get, I think he may have been onto something...

There are some i'd like to try from this thread like the Brother's ones, will have to find them!

I love the Koppaberg stuff becuase it is so sweet. Not so keen on the other pear ciders but would love to try the Brothers Strawberry Cider. Not found anywhere I can buy one or two, can only find official site selling it by the case.

So, pear cider.

Gay or not?

Perry and it's only as gay as drinking cider is.

If I've got to drink cider then I prefer one of the old style ciders which don't look all that dissimilar to watered down treacle, has wasps, leaves and twigs floating in it. Kopparberg and Magners in particular are nothing like this, they're more like alcoholic fizzy juice - it should be a warning sign when any beer or cider literally demands that you drink it with ice in it.

Can you name any? I love drinking cloudy apple juice, and havn't stumbled across any ciders which taste like this to date. I pretty much gave up after sampling the varietys of witch ****

Ta.

I'm afraid I can't remember the name(s) of the ones I was drinking particularly, it was at a small pub not far from Weston Super Mare and they were local to there, that's about all I know, sorry.
