----Cinebench R10 single thread results---

I run it day to day at 4.9 as 5 is fine for certain applications but crashes when I use Capture One (which is a slight problem given how much I use it!) it was one of the 8 pack clearance specials and had a £60 premium over a normal 4790k, I'm sure he would see it as a waste of a good chip but I just wanted something guaranteed to run high frequencies at a decent voltage. I use my PC for work and time is money when I'm converting RAWs or doing videos so I'm very happy with it.

Edit to add, my uncore is normally 4.5 but was at 4.0 for some reason on the first run.

Ah ok then. I thought you'd lucked out :p

4.9 is still v nice for heavy workloads, not wasted at all IMO. I'd be chuffed aswell.

nice chip! I think, this one must be good with LN2 too :). I bouught 4770K for LN2 for 650 dollars and I cant run so high Cinebench with AIO cooling :)

Single thread performance on the 5960x is good, but nothing compared to Haswell when overclocked.

Your CpuZ only shows your multiplier at 33x which could explain your low score.

Edit- Just seen your bus speed.

Intel i7 4720HQ @ stock speeds in Acer Aspire VN7 Nitro, could well be better, laptop is only out of the box yesterday and not sure any tweaks can be made.
