Cinema Sweet Popcorn

Right, I have my popcorn kernels here but I am clueless how to make it sweet style as you would get from the cinema.

Anyone got any tried and trusted methods? I have heard things like whack the kernels in a pan of oil, stick the lid on and wait for it all to pop...however where do you add the sugar???

Sweet, so heat the oil...add a lot/little amount of sugar? The throw in the kernels??

I understand you have to cover the kernels with enough oil so they are all layered.

Essentially yeah, once the oil is hot chucking it all in is the way forward. It had to be my favourite job when I did it, I was meant to "test" the popcorn as I made it, so I got paid for eating!

don't put the sugar in the pan! If you are not careful you will ruin the pan.

Add the sugar afterwards.
