I have been a member for over a year now.

I can't remember the temporary pass but I think if it has the membership number then it should be okay.

I'm not sure about booking for kids.

So, not much help but I wanted to reply to say welcome. It is a great deal. There is a secret screening for members in July. I think most cinemas will participate. Should be fun.

Thanks, ummed and aahed for ages and bit the bullet, few good films coming out next few months so should pay for it self nicely,

I've been an Unlimited card holder for a while now - we have the black cards which give you extra money off snack items (25%). Still expensive, but more realistic with the discount and no up-lift fee for watching 3D.
The cards easily pay for themselves these days - adult post 5:00pm tickets at our cinema are £8.37 or £9.30 if you just walk in.
So 2 films a month and you're already saving.

All you need is your membership number to order online. When you go to collect your tickets you have to enter the unique code you are given after your booking. At the moment you cannot use your unlimited card to retrieve your tickets (that is coming later this year apparently). So should be able to book online.

I signed up just before Christmas.
- I could book online with the temporary card number starting about 1 day after I signed up, before that it didn't work.
- When my real card came, it had a different number. I removed the temporary card from my online account and added it again with the new number, but I don't know if I actually had to do that.
- I went on the day I purchased, using the temporary pass, and the staff member I spoke to seemed very funny about it. It seems like their system doesn't update until the next day, and she made it sound like she was doing me a favour by letting me in.

We printed our temp passes out and booked in the cinema, the online system wouldn't accept a booking, when our cards came i just used the number online.

Really great system, plus our cineworld cinema is excellent, love getting a free large bar of choc with every unlimited screening.

Any guesses on the next secret screening?

In regards to the original question don't quote me on it but I don't think you can book online as the number on the temp pass is different to the card number.

We printed out the temp pass and took it in and they were fine with it there, ended up watching 3 or 4 films on the temp pass.

Heads up for some people if they are near Leigh, you get 20% off the Nandos or Frankies and Bennys on the same location with your card.

Have been tempted by this in the past but my nearest Cineworld is about twenty miles away. I'm there most weekends dropping the kids off but it just seems like a lot of hassle when there's a Vue five minutes from my house.

With every Unlimited screening? Cool - but a warning to readers of this thread, they certainly don't do that at every cinema.
I've been to numerous "Unlimited Only" and "Secret Screenings" and through all of those we've only had free chocolate twice. So I'd say twice out of about fifteen times (gotta be around that number).

They must have an excess of the stuff as your local screen.
