I've just got confirmation of my zen order through, and am wondering about the ip block they've assigned to me.

Is it the case that I simply get my router (cisco 837) to negotiate what ip address it has (as is the default with ADSL)? I'm assuming then it will obtain the router address in the block, and zen will forward any traffic on my assigned network to the router ip. My router will see the traffic, and can recognise what ip address it is going to and then apply static NAT rules to it?

Or......

Do I have to assign all of the ip addresses to the WAN interface before the router will be able to deal with traffic on all of those ip addresses?

I think it's the first, but just wanted to check.

Also, finally, if I set up a static nat between an ip addres in my block of ips (A.B.C.D) and a computer on my internal network (192.168.0.10), will the router communicate all trafic between 192.168.0.10 and the outside world on A.B.C.D, or will it still use the default router address (A.B.C.Z) for outbound traffic?

Hope that makes sense...
